Currently when someone makes a donation they have two options for anonymity. From a drop down menu they can can choose either:
1.) I want my name to be anonymous
2.) I want my gift and name to be anonymous
Once their donation is made their name and donation amount shows on a list on the social fundraising pages. The donor's name and the amount that they donated appears on the page or it doesn't - if they've chosen for their donation to be anonymous then neither their name nor the dollar amount shows up. As donations are made the total dollar amount of all donations is tabulated and that number goes up.
We would like to add a third option so that people can show their name, but hide the amount of their donation. Reason: We are setting up fundraising pages for each classroom at each school in our district and we are encouraging participation, however many people feel very uncomfortable showing the amount that they've donated as we have very rich and *very poor* families in our school district so there's an element of shame if one family can donated $1,000 and another only $2. In order to continue with these class pages our school district is requiring that there is an option for people to show that they donated, but *not show the dollar amount that they donated.* We are ok with the total number going up with each donation (no changes there) we just want people to be able to hide their individual donation amount *if they want.*
If it's not possible to hide the donation amount at the donor's request, can we simply "white out" that entire column? In other words, is there a way to set the font in that column so that it is the same color as the background so that each person's donation amount is not readily visible? If we could do this we might be able to convince our school district to continue to use social pages.
