Invitations allow staff/admin users to track personal invitations sent to accounts in Neon. For instance, if a staff or board member is charged with inviting 5 contacts to a fundraising event, they send out 5 personal invitations then they use the Invitations tool in Neon to keep a record of the individuals they invited, the date the invitation was extended, and the RSVP. This can be a helpful tool for activities like donor stewardship and prospect management.
To add an invitation record to an account, go to the account and select New Invitation in the Invitations section.
Please be aware that creating an invitation doesn't actually perform any actions. it simply creates an invitation record for internal reference. Invitation records allow staff users to manually track personal invitations extended to constituents in your database.
Event invitations are not currently reportable.
Associate your invitations with Activities which can later be pulled in a report. Apart from that, invitations are not connected to any other part of the database.
Mass invitations are better sent as a Campaign email blasts with links to the event details or registration page. These are recorded on each account's Email Communications history and in the Email Report.
