Sending Campaign Emails
Send Campaign Email is a convenient way to send a campaign email you have already built to an audience you have already created.
Navigate to Communications > Send Campaign Emails.
Here is a preview:
Choose the Email Campaign you wish to send, then click Continue.
Choose the Email Audience you wish to send the selected email to.
Select the desired Audience from the list, then click Continue.
You can either schedule the message to go out in the future or send it immediately.
Send on: [future date] - the email will be sent by the Scheduler starting around 5:00 AM Central Time on the date you have specified. Send on will default to tomorrow's date.
Send immediately - the email will be sent today.
Send on is the default selection when scheduling an email. To send it today, choose Send Immediately.
Review the email, audience and schedule date, then click "Send". You will get a confirmation message if you've successfully sent/scheduled your email campaign.
Monitor the status of each schedule/sent campaign from here: Communications > Email Status Monitoring. From here, you can double check when the email has been scheduled or how many have already been sent. When the schedule status changes to Succeed, then the Emails Sent and Send Time columns will populate.
You can filter the list by the schedule Status:
- Pending: scheduled
- Processing: currently sending
- Succeed: sent
- Declined: not sent
- Error: cannot send
Find email campaigns scheduled to be sent in the future by filtering your list by those with a Pending status.
From here, you have the ability to cancel a scheduled email blast. Click Cancel under the Action column then confirm that you want to cancel this pending email. Cancelling a future email blast removes the that record from your Email Schedule List.
If you selected the Send immediately option, then you will see that the status is Processing and the number of emails currently being send will display under Emails Attempted. The schedule status will remain Processing until the email has been sent to your entire audience.
Clicking on the schedule id number under the # column or clicking on a row in the Email Schedule List takes you to an Sent Emails page which shows a list of the recipients and the status of each email. When the schedule is still in Processing status, you can find out which recipients have already been sent the email and which ones are still being sent from the Sent Emails list.
