NeonCRM Demonstration

  • Are you ready to get started with Neon, but, first, want a guided tour of what's here? This video will provide an overview of what NeonCRM is, the pieces that your organization can use for contact management, the side of Neon that your constituents can access, plus your options for getting started. If you feel comfortable with these topics already, please go on to Configuring NeonCRM!

Configuring NeonCRM

  • Click here for the Companion Guide.
  • This is the first video someone looking for a grounding in the basics of Neon should watch. This video will cover topics related to using this software as a System User or System Administrator. In particular, it covers the ways people access Neon (Constituent Login Portal and System User and Administrator login) and how to restrict what System Users can access. Additionally, it covers where to store key pieces of information about your organization (The Organization Profile) and your constituents (Account Standard Fields and Account Custom Fields). Lastly, it covers some foundational settings related to conducting transactions (Payment Gateway, Tender Types, and more).

Account Management

  • Click here for the Companion Guide.
  • This is the second video in the series. The Account Management video covers types of accounts, account creation, the Grants module, relationships in Neon, and personalizing your account view. We discuss three ways of storing information: activities, prospects, and notes. Lastly, we cover how duplicate accounts are formed, how to prevent them, and how to manage the duplicates that arise.

Online Standard Form Setup

  • This is the third video in the series. This video covers the definition of a form, where to find your forms in Neon, and how to customize them.

Online Custom Forms & Surveys

  • Click here for the Companion Guide.
  • Only watch the Online Custom Forms & Surveys video if you have the Custom Forms module in your Neon system or are thinking of purchasing it. The Custom Forms module is powerful, but not everyone needs it! This video will cover the benefits of custom forms and how to create 3 common types.

Fundraising Setup & Reporting

  • If you will be using the Fundraising module, watch this video next. The Fundraising Setup & Reporting video covers how to add donations as a System Administrator, the three major allocations (campaign, fund, and purpose), solicitors, and social fundraising. It ends with a demonstration of how to report on your fundraising.

Event Setup & Reporting

  • If you will be using the Events module, watch this video next. The Event Setup & Reporting covers how to create and manage an event with Neon. It includes examples of events using the 4 ticketing options and demonstrates how to set up a couple different events with varying financial structures.

Membership Setup & Reporting

  • Click here for the Companion Guide.
  • If you will be using the Membership module, watch this video next. The Membership Setup & Reporting video first covers the definition of a membership based on how the Neon module works. Then, we cover how to create new memberships and global membership settings. We also cover discounts on memberships, membership directories, and reporting.

Email Communications

  • Click here for the Companion Guide.
  • We recommend all Neon Users watch the Email Communications video next, as emailing constituents is a major part of using the CRM. This video covers the definition of and use of the three types of emails sent and tracked with Neon. As a part of that process, this video includes information about email groups, email campaign statistics, and the MailChimp integration.

Letter Communications

  • Click here for the Companion Guide.
  • If your organization would like to send letters to your constituents from Neon or mark on their accounts that letters have been sent, watch the Letter Communications video. This video, the last in the series, covers three different potential situations in which you would use Neon and a letter. We demonstrate how to create the letters, use tokens, create letter conditions, and track non-letter materials.
